Fruminozoth

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The summary did not entice me, but the novel dang sure did.

Before I started reading this book, I thought I probably wouldn’t like it, based on the book’s summary, but started to read it anyway and was quickly caught up in Alex’s world.

My advice to the author would be to take a bulldozer to the summary and start over because it does not do your great book justice and might be costing you potential book sales. I always read the summaries for hints at what the underlying conflicts might be.

Alex is a middle-aged man who needs to escape his mundane life with no friends and no love life. He works from home in his moldy flat and befriends birds with the help of his drone. He’s a man who likes his electronic gadgets and receives his latest gadget, his prized pair of Google Glasses. Since the summary didn’t give any hints to what the conflict is, I don’t feel comfortable doing so either. I will reveal no spoilers.
